Well, here it is. Some substantial footage of Owen walking around all on his own. As you can see, he's in game-day attire for the TAMU-tu game tonight. Unfortunately, he goes to bed too early to watch this one, but someday we'll watch it together.

Back from TX
We returned last night from Owen's third trip to TX. We had a lot of fun and really enjoyed catching up with family. Owen loved all the extra attention from everyone there. Well, you know from before that Owen has been testing the walking waters for a while now, but he finally put it all together on this trip. By the time we were in the airport to head back to SC, he was entertaining all the waiting travelers with his walks up and down the councourse. We have some better quality footage to give you at some point, but that takes more work than using this cell phone footage. So, that's what you get for now. We were at Nana and Pop's (Owen's great-grandparents) during this. Also, if you listen imaginatively, you can hear Owen say the name of his favorite toys these days.

Kiss the Baby
There's been a lot going on lately, and we just realized that we've been so busy that we haven't really taken any new pictures. Between going out of town for the weekend and dealing with a respiratory virus, Owen somewhere along the way decided that he's starting to like walking. He's been taking a few steps here and there for a while now, and even when Grammy and Auntie were here he would take as many as 5 or 6 steps from person to person. About 2 weeks ago he decided to walk from one side of the living room to the other. Yesterday, though, was the most I've seen from him in a day. We were in his room, sitting on the floor, and a friend called. While I was talking, I looked away from Owen, and the next thing I see is a slow and steady, cautiously walking little Owen. He had spotted his reflection in the mirror and was making his way over to it. Ok, I had to give the story because I haven't actually recorded any footage of this on the camera or video. As soon as I get some footage, I'll put it up for you. As a consolation, here's a video that Grammy took of Owen playing in the mirror.

Halloween Fun!
Last night we went to trick-or-treat at some of our friend's houses. Owen had a great time and tolerated the costume really well considering he screamed like crazy the first time we put it on him. Here is a picture of the first time we tried out the costume when Auntie and Grammy were visiting. We thought his facial expression was very appropriate considering he was a lion and it looked like he was roaring.
Here are some pictures of our happy little lion on Halloween...
